PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. —

Health alerts have been issued for blue-green algal toxins found in Florida waterways.

 

The toxins were found in water samples taken, according to the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County.

Blue-green algae bloom alerts are in effect for the following areas:

Canals:

• The C51 canal at S155 (upstream)
• The C51 canal near the bridge at Southern Boulevard, Military Trail, and the bridge at Forrest Hill and I-95
• The canal near Spillway Park and Maryland Avenue in Lake Worth
