A family tradition: The 27th annual Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. —

A North Palm Beach family is one of many who've made the Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade an annual tradition.

When the parade leaves from North Palm Beach on Dec. 4 to go to the Jupiter Lighthouse, the Daniellos will be there, just as they have been the last 20 years.

For Lou Daniello and his great-grandchildren, the Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade really does kick off the holidays.

"It’s just incredible," said Lou Daniello. "There’s nothing like it. I’m really blessed. I feel really blessed for having my family here."

Lou Daniello, his son, Lou Daniello, Jr. and his grandson, Ryan Daniello, first participated in the Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade 20 years ago. The boating family has been in the parade ever since, winning prizes along the way and having a merry time while doing it.

"We just love boating and it’s a real good kickoff to the holiday season," said Lou Daniello, Jr. "It’s right in the beginning of December and it gets you in a holiday mood, in a festive mood and of course anything around boats is always fun."

Ryan Daniello said this year, they’re once again taking his boat, called the "Detail Dude." That's the same boat the family used last year.
