Junior Honda Classic Tees Off at PGA National

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. —

While the PGA professionals will be hitting the links at PGA National in seven weeks for the Honda Classic, this weekend junior golfers took over the course in Palm Beach Gardens.

The first of the two round Junior Honda Classic was held Saturday as boys and girls from 7 to 18 took part in the two day event spread over three courses.

Benhi Long shot a one-under 71 to take a two-stroke lead in the boys 15-18 division. Chananyu Chowiwattana of Thailand carded a five-under 67 to take a three stroke lead in the girls 15-18 division.

There was also a familiar face on the course with Charlie Woods taking part in the event. Tiger's son, who played so well at the PNC Championship with his father, enjoyed a nice round not too far from his home.
