Beaches across Martin and St. Lucie counties will be closed this weekend. This is how local residents are adjusting their holiday plans
JENSEN BEACH, Fla. —
Treasure Coast residents are figuring out their new Fourth of July plans amid the beach closures taking effect this weekend.
Martin County is closing all of its public beaches, beach accesses and beach parking lots from 6 p.m. Friday through 7 a.m. Monday. St. Lucie County will be closing all of its public beach accesses on North and South Hutchinson island from Friday through Sunday. This includes all of the beach parking lots in the unincorporated area, city limits of Fort Pierce, Fort Pierce Inlet State Park and Avalon Beach. Indian River County is restricting beach access in Vero Beach to county residents this weekend
