Help is on the way for Haiti.
A fleet of 40-foot containers carrying supplies left the 'Food for the Poor' warehouse in Port-au-Prince on Monday morning.
The South Florida-based charity organization is making sure essential aid gets to the epicenter of the earthquake.
Bishop Oge Beauvoir is the executive director for the branch in Haiti. He spoke with WPBF 25 from the island Monday afternoon via Zoom.
"The American people have been there for Haiti for time for ages," Beauvoir said. "Whenever we are in trouble, you are the first to run to and you never let us down."
He said so much is needed. Since Saturday, they have discovered more homes, hospitals, schools and churches have collapsed. Now, they also have to deal with Tropical Storm Grace.
