Health alerts have been issued for blue-green algal toxins found in Florida waterways.

 

The toxins were found in water samples taken, according to the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County.

Blue-green algae bloom alerts are in effect for the following areas:

C44 Canal

• Upstream north of Arundel

Delray Beach

• Bel Lido Drive near Highland Beach

Lake Okeechobee:

• Locations on the lake
• Lakeside, canalside near Port Mayaca
• Northeast shore
• Pakohee Marina Boat Ramp
