JUPITER, Fla. —
The first day of spring training is officially underway at the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.
"The hot dogs are hot, the sodas are cold. We’re ready to play ball," Mike Bauer, the general manager of Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, told WPBF 25 News.
The first game on the field is between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Houston Astros Friday afternoon.
"Just a great weekend, family friends and seeing the Cardinals play. And win!" Greg Thrash, a Cardinals fan, said.
The stadium will look a lot different this year compared to previous years.
Last year, the stadium was under a 21% occupancy, along with pod seating available. And this season, there will be 100% capacity. While masks are optional, officials recommend those who are unvaccinated wear one.
