Happy New Year, book lovers! We librarians love this time of year because it gives us the opportunity to play with some of our favorite things: data and lists! Throughout the year, we're tracking what our patrons read in order to ensure our collection reflects what they want and need. But the end of the year is even more exciting because we get to look at what titles our patrons read the most over the past 12 months! This year was interesting since most of our borrows came from our digital reading apps – cloudLibrary and hoopla digital – rather than our print books. So we've included not one, but THREE top 10 lists for you: the most-read books on cloudLibrary, on hoopla, and in print in 2021! Without further ado, here are West Palm Beach's top 10 reads of 2021:
- The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett
- The Last Flight by Julie Clark
- The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah
- A Land Remembered by Patrick D. Smith
- The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave
- Sooley by John Grisham
- The Hard Way by Lee Child
- The Guest List by Lucy Foley
- Anxious People by Fredrik Backman
- Searching for Sylvie Lee by Jean Kwok
