City Of Palm Beach Gardens Independence Day Closures

Independence Day Closures

4th of July Holiday Closures.

City Administrative Offices will be closed on Monday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. Offices will reopen for business on Tuesday, July 5th. Garbage pickup will occur as scheduled and will not be impacted by this closure.

In addition, the following modified hours of operation are scheduled for City recreation facilities:

Burns Road Community Center
Saturday, July 2nd- 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday, July 3rd- 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Monday, July 4th- CLOSED

Aquatic Complex
Saturday, July 2nd- 8 a.m. - noon
Sunday, July 3rd- CLOSED
Monday, July 4th- CLOSED

Tennis & Pickleball Center
Saturday, July 2nd- Mixed Doubles with Lunch- 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 2nd through Monday, July 4th- 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Riverside Youth Enrichment Center
Monday, July 4th- CLOSED

Sandhill Crane Golf Club
Monday, July 4th- Normal hours; driving range will close at sunset. No junior or adult programs.

SUNRISE, Fla. —

Paul Maurice is the new coach of the Florida Panthers, agreeing on a deal Wednesday to take over a club coming off a season where it had the best record in the NHL and rewrote the franchise’s record book.

The 55-year-old Maurice will be introduced Thursday morning, the Panthers said.

Royal Palm Beach Council passes ordinance for landlords to give at least 60 days notice for rent increase

ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. —

The Village of Royal Palm Beach unanimously approved of an ordinance that would now require landlords to give tenants at least a 60-day notice if there is a rent increase of more than 5%.

"Something’s been put in place to try to deal with and help them deal with the situation that we’re living through, where these enormous rent increases are happening to people and catching them off guard," Mayor Fred Pinto of Royal Palm Beach told WPBF 25 News.

A call to adopt: Palm Beach County animal shelter far beyond capacity

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. —

Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control is far beyond capacity and staff members are calling it a crisis.

Center director Jan Steele said some of the reasons for the recent uptick saying, "Between the COVID-19 issues, evictions, people going back to work, everything is coming to a head."

U.S. Open Qualifying held in Jupiter

JUPITER, Fla. —

Four golfers punched their ticket to the U.S. Open, slated for June 16-19 at the Country Club in Boston, MA by outlasting a large field during qualifying at Admiral's Cove in Jupiter on Monday.

American Ryan Gerard carded a 66 and 71 in the 36-hole marathon to secure his spot. Scottish golfer Sean Jacklin, American Keith Greene and Brazilian Fred Biondi also earned spots. The Jupiter region was awarded four spots and two alternate spots.

Construction for new neighborhood project in Martin County underway

PALM CITY, Fla. —

It's been a vision for Knight Kiplinger years in the making — an innovative, environmentally-conscious neighborhood in Martin County.

"It will be multigenerational, not gated golf course communities catering to the affluent. Martin County has many beautiful wonderful gated golf course communities. It’s not an unmet need," Knight Kiplinger, the creator of Newfield, told WPBF 25 News.
